Robert Stein, a veteran of the scrap metal industry, has joined Alter Trading Corp. He was previously with Louis Padnos Iron & Metal Co., Holland, Mich.

Stein is also the senior vice president of the Nonferrous Division of the Bureau of International Recycling, as well as the chair of BIR's Internet subcommittee. He sits on the New York New York, state, United States
