Altec's Manufacturing Facility Meets International

Standards For Protection of Workers' Rights

Altec Lansing Technologies, Inc., the leading developer of PC audio products for the retail and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  markets, today announced its manufacturing facility has received Social Accountability 8000 (SA8000) certification, making it the first consumer electronics manufacturer to meet this benchmark. SA8000 is an international standard designed to ensure safe working conditions, fair management practices and protection of workers' rights.

Altec's manufacturing facility, located in the People's Republic of China, earned the SA8000 certification after passing an extensive two-day independent audit of management practices and working conditions. SA8000 is based on a universal set of standards that are in compliance with both local Chinese laws and international levels of acceptance.
