Altec Lansing Brings Your XM Roady Home; New MX5021/Roady Home Listening System for Satellite Radio Fans.


MILFORD, Pa. -- If you're addicted to the 150 channels of satellite radio you get on your XM Roady or Roady 2 receiver but frustrated that you can't get your fix when you're not in your car, bring it on home with Altec Lansing's new MX5021/Roady Home Listening System -- a package that pairs Altec Lansing's three-piece MX5021 Powered Audio System with a custom-built Roady dock and antenna to fill the room with XM sound.

Just place your Roady or Roady 2 in the system's docking cradle, and any XM station from punk or rock to comedy, sports or talk radio is available for the listening at home or in the office.

The MX5021 speaker system consists of two polished, piano-black, desktop-sized satellite speakers and a matching subwoofer A speaker that reproduces the lower end of the audio spectrum. A subwoofer system may include a crossover circuit which switches frequencies at approximately 100Hz and under to the subwoofer, while passing the rest of the signal to the main speakers.  that deliver crisp, THX A design system that provides realistic sound playback for movie and home theater from THX, Ltd., San Rafael, CA (www.thx.com), an independent spin-off from Lucasfilm, Ltd. The THX Sound System was developed during the production of the Return of the Jedi in 1982 and named after George (R)-certified, cinema-quality sound. The system produces full, rich audio with crystal-clear highs and big bass, courtesy of two midrange drivers per satellite, a horn-loaded tweeter tweeter - woofer , and the woofer's baritone capabilities.

The docking cradle houses the Roady or Roady 2, plus a control pod that permits bass, treble and master volume adjustment. The cradle itself plugs into the subwoofer, and the system also includes a wireless remote for volume control flexibility.

An auxiliary input jack in the back of the subwoofer can be used to hook the MX5021 speaker system up to your PC, TV or DVD/CD/MP3 player. Color-coded cables and spring-clip connectors offer fast plug-and-play connectivity, the satellites can be wall-mounted, and a headphone See headphones.  jack is included for private listening.
