Altarich Energy Inc. announces acquisition by LBE International Inc.

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1996--ALTARICH ENERGY INC. (Alberta Stock Exchange: AEY.A) -- ALTARICH ENERGY INC. (Millennium Communications Inc. by a name change effective June 24, 1996 as previously announced in an August 19 press release) announced the following development:

The Alberta Stock Exchange is currently awaiting final documentation for the closure of the company's major transaction. Millennium expects to have the documentation completed on Wednesday, September 18, 1996, and to commence trading under the new name shortly thereafter.

LBE International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Millennium, has acquired both the intellectual and physical property rights to an advanced motion-based virtual reality simulator platform, delivered at a breakthrough price-point and designed specifically for the burgeoning location-based entertainment market.

Named "Virtual Advanced Cockpit System" (VACS), the system has been product tested across the United States among 1,500 male and female participants, ranging in age from 12 to 72. VACS now incorporates both the consumer preferences and requirements based on the responses of 1,200 of those consumers to a follow-up questionnaire, resulting in the ultimate in interactive experience enjoyment and satisfaction. There is currently one VACS unit in operation and the system is ready for market.

VACS is designed and built for use as 1) the primary attraction platform in a fully themed location-based entertainment center, or 2) an add-on attraction for any existing venue which caters to the public and has a few square feet to spare. Rapid, easy and inexpensive modification and true portability are the keys to the flexibility of VACS, resulting in high profit margins. The unique two-piece integrated design of VACS allows the exterior shell to be converted as easily as the computer-based system facilitates the game/software experience to be changed. As a result, VACS can be a fighter aircraft, submarine, spaceship or race car experience. The key to the VACS technology is the programmable flexibility of its motion control base unit which allows each of the experiences to exhibit their own unique tactile characteristics.

VACS features an infinite focal-length collimating display that projects an 'out-of-window' view, typically found in large commercial simulators. In order to maximize the sense of realism and immersion, VACS also incorporates 3-dimensional (3D) 'wrap- around' sound, as well as authentically reproduced cockpit switch panels and controls, replicating those found in real-world environments.

The ever-expanding library of game/software experiences for VACS are provided by two primary sources - 1) award-winning publishers who commercially license their products for optimization and use on VACS, and 2) LBE's own proprietary simulation game software featuring state-of-the-art, high fidelity visualization output.

Physically, the VACS incorporates a light-weight design featuring standard commercial electrical motors for precise motion control, thereby eliminating the need for leaky, unreliable, large and expensive hydraulic systems. VACS is mounted on a caster-wheel system allowing the simulator to be easily relocated and set up by two individuals.

VACS is the first in a series of integrated virtual reality entertainment systems to be developed and released by LBE International. -0-
