Silverman's diverse career as an executive in the imaging industry spans the two most explosive decades in the history of imaging art and science, encompassing the transition from traditional to digital technology, and the immense impact of the Internet on art and commerce.

For the past 11 years, Silverman was a senior vice president and a member of the executive committee at Mamiya America. There, he partnered with digital giants, including Kodak, Polaroid, Fuji, Epson and Phase One, giving him a true and up-to-date insider's perspective on the limitations and possibilities of a global industry in transition.

Prior to his position at Mamiya, he held executive sales, marketing and communications positions at Schneider Corp. of America (a subsidiary of the prestigious optics manufacturer Schneider Kreuznach Schneider Kreuznach is the abbreviated name of the company Jos.
