), at the Alternative Fuels and Vehicles National Conference & Expo, the world's largest alternative fuel and vehicle technology gathering, held April 1-4 in Anaheim, Calif.

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) , (NYSE: PCG), is the utility that provides natural gas and electricity to most of Northern California.
 (PG&E) recently placed an order with Phoenix to add its all-electric, zero-emissions Phoenix SUT to the PG&E service vehicle fleet.

Altairnano's safe, fast-charging, long-life nano-Titanate battery packs enable Phoenix's freeway-ready SUT to exceed all specifications for the State of California Type III Type III may stand for:
  • Glycogen storage disease type III, a genetic disorder
  • Hyperlipproteinemia type III, a risk factor for cardiovascular disease
  • The IBM Type-III Library, a distribution mechanism for unsupported IBM mainframe software such as CP/CMS
 ZEV ZEV Zero Emission Vehicle  accreditation. Altairnano's NanoSafe 35kWh pack can be recharged in less than 10 minutes with sufficient electric transmission capacity and provides power and energy for a full-size fleet vehicle to travel up to 130 miles, carrying up to five adults, at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

The Altairnano-powered Phoenix SUT will be featured in both the Phoenix booth as well as in the Ride & Drive event. The Ride & Drive event will run Sunday, April 1st and Tuesday, April 3rd from 11:00am to 1:30pm each day and provides the general public the opportunity of riding in the Phoenix Motorcars Phoenix Motorcars is a California-based company that focuses on developing electric vehicles.
