Altair effective on Nasdaq SmallCap Market under new symbol, 'ALTIF'.

CODY, Wyoming--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 18, 1997--Altair International Inc. (Alberta Stock Exchange:AIL.) Tuesday announced that its application for inclusion in the Nasdaq SmallCap Market has been approved.

Trading in the Altair common stock can commence as of 9:30 a.m. EST, Monday March 24, 1997. The stock will trade under the symbol "ALTIF".

Altair's entry into the Nasdaq SmallCap Market provides brokers and others with immediate access to the best bid and ask prices and other information about the company's shares throughout the trading day.

Those prices are available on more than 200,000 electronic terminals in brokers' offices through the United States and world. Trading data is also distributed widely through wire services for selective dissemination by newspapers and radio and television stations.
