Heit Schwaeber, the children's book author responsible for Alphabet of Dinosaurs, limits her presentation to the simplest of information; for example, she tells readers that ladybugs are considered lucky and that an earwig's bite is very powerful. Kids ages 4 through g can also choose to hear about the insects on the included CD, which opens with a song about bugs and goes on to deliver the information contained in the book.
