USA Today estimates that American doctors write nearly 80 million prescriptions for NSAIDs annually. AlphaRx believes its topical pain management products can compete effectively and have a significant penetration in this market.

AlphaRx has an extensive oral and topical pain management product pipeline in different stages of development. AlphaRx plans to be the first company to bring two prescription topical NSAID's - 2.0% Indomethacin and 1.5% Diclofenac in to North America. At present, there are no topical NSAIDs approved for marketing in North America and no pharmaceutical company has succeeded in obtaining market approval for a topical NSAID in North America. However, the Company is confident that its two prescription topical NSAIDs will gain market approval in North America because, unlike other competing products, they do not contain unsafe ingredients or synthetic penetration enhancers.
