With the addition of EasyLink's Production Messaging Service, e-mails with attachments sent to an InnMail address are diverted by the AlphaNet Hospitality Systems server to EasyLink, where the attachments are opened and rendered into faxable form. The opened attachment is then sent back to the AlphaNet server, where it is stored in a temporary mailbox until it is received by the guest for printing on an in-room IBC-5000. The EasyLink service is able to render attachments created in more than 200 programs, including spreadsheets and graphics programs, in addition to word processing word processing, use of a computer program or a dedicated hardware and software package to write, edit, format, and print a document. "EasyLink is pleased to provide this important enhancement to AlphaNet's highly regarded InnMail service," commented Bill Fallon, Vice President, Marketing at EasyLink. "Production Messaging Service adds significant value to users of InnMailPlus, while AlphaNet has been spared the delays and capital costs of developing such a system in-house. This is an impressive example of technological synergy between our two companies."
