AlphaGraphics offers customers an industry first: The ability to do business with 300 plus stores over the Internet.

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1996--AlphaGraphics Inc., this month launches an innovative new service that allows customers to request printing quotes, place orders an even transmit print job documents over the Internet Internet

to any store in the AlphaGraphics system.

This makes AlphaGraphics the largest distribute-and-print network on the Internet as well as the first and only printing chain to offer direct electronic communication links between customers and every store in its system.

Through the company's new World Wide Web site, customers can do business electronically with any of the more than 300 AlphaGraphics printshops in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and 20 foreign countries at no extra charge. No other quick printing chain has so many stores capable of receiving electronic files, and the few that do allow customers to conduct business over the Internet usually require the customer to install special software at additional costs.

"We wanted to create an interactive, state-of-the-art Web site that went beyond the typical function of giving customers information and added the ability to actually get their work done over the Internet," said Gary Baraff, the company's director of marketing.

"We were uniquely equipped to do this because, as part of our commitment to advanced technology, every store in our system has been Internet-capable for well over a year. No other printing organization has that capability throughout its entire network."

The AlphaGraphics Web site includes easy-to-use forms for e-mailing inquiries, quote requests and printing orders, plus a store locator that enables customers to search by zip code zip code

The company's 85-page Web site also offers the industry's first electronic job bulletin board, which advertises career opportunities with AlphaGraphics stores anywhere in the world, as well as the first online application process for prospective new franchisees.

In addition, it contains a wealth of reference information, including a practical resource called AlphaWizard that offers detailed guidelines guidelines,
