AlphaBlox Corporation Unveils Professional Services Division; Enhanced Services Enable Customer Success.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 1999--AlphaBlox Corporation, provider of the first system enabling the rapid assembly and delivery of analytical applications for line of business managers via the Web, today unveiled their new Professional Services division. This new division will help streamline the process of implementing AlphaBlox solutions for new and existing customers.

Under the leadership of Vice President Elton Sotello, the Professional Services organization will deliver consulting and education services to AlphaBlox customers. By partnering with the customer organization, AlphaBlox will help ensure successful implementation of the customer's analytical applications.

"These services will enable customers to quickly build and deploy analytic applications by leveraging our in-depth product knowledge and analytical application expertise. As AlphaBlox solutions are implemented, we will transfer this knowledge and experience to the customers so they can deliver a broad range of analytical applications across their enterprise."

In this role, AlphaBlox Professional Services will work hand-in-hand with the customer organization to train IS staff, create customized templates and deliver design and development of best practices. By working with the services team, customers will quickly become self-sufficient, enabling them to respond to the changing needs of their business -- and ultimately achieve maximum return on their information.

Prior to his position at AlphaBlox, Sotello served as Senior Director of North American Professional Services at Systems Software Associates, a leading mid-range ERP software provider, where he managed a 220-person, $55 million organization that delivered implementation and training services to their clients. AlphaBlox Professional Services will operate out of Mountain View, Chicago and New York offices. In addition to Sotello, nine key hires will be made by the end of 1999 to round out the team.
