Alpha Therapeutic Corporation today announced the appointment of David Hirsch as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing. He will lead efforts to further expand Alpha's position in the global market for plasma derived products.

Previously, Hirsch was Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Nexell Therapeutics, which developed stem cell therapies for cancer treatment. He has extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing with Boehringer Mannheim Pharmaceuticals and Schering-Plough. His health care experience also includes senior management positions at GFI Pharmaceutical Services, a clinical research organization, and CTRC CTRC Cancer Therapy Research Center
