AMS is a leading national supplier of software, networks and systems for independent insurance agencies. According to the announcement by Alpha Microsystems President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas J. Tullio, AMS has developed a maintenance program utilizing AMSO to provide on-site services for up to 1,100 multi-user systems and networks.

AMS believes the benefits offered by this program are substantial and will be attractive to most of its users of these systems and networks. Alpha Microsystems intends to pursue aggressively signing service agreements with these users and estimates it could derive over $1.5 million in annualized annualized

 revenue from the contract.

Tullio commented: "This contract is a direct result of the strategic investments we have made to increase the marketing and sales efforts of AMSO to expand its third-party contracts and comprehensive networking services. While we have been selected for a number of other important third-party service opportunities, the agreement with AMS has the potential to be the largest we have signed to date.

"AMS is the nation's foremost provider of agency management products and supporting software and services to independent insurance agents and the companies they represent," Tullio said.

"Under this contract, we will be providing service for such product lines as Argo PC-based and networked systems, Gemini I & II systems and large-agency Sagitta systems. These systems run the gamut from PCs to RS6000s and require service that is flexible, national and cost-effective."

Chris Magee, president of AMS Management Systems Group, commented: "We wanted to provide our users with an on-site service option that is both efficient and cost-effective. Working with AMSO, we are able to accomplish both goals.

"AMSO has the required breadth and depth of services, together with a national presence and expertise developed over many years of service. They have combined these attributes with a cost structure that will allow us to provide our customers with rapid-response, on-site national service under a very attractive pricing structure."
