Alpha Media Group Initiates Legal Action against EMI Resorts (S.V.G.) Inc.NEW YORK New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. In the Complaint, Alpha Media contends that EMI Resorts has breached the terms of the parties' licensing agreement that entitled EMI Resorts to use the Maxim brand name in connection with its resorts. The Complaint seeks an injunction against EMI Resorts to, among other things, stop using the Maxim mark. Alpha Media Group Inc. has also filed with the court a request for a preliminary injunction A temporary order made by a court at the request of one party that prevents the other party from pursuing a particular course of conduct until the conclusion of a trial on the merits. The Complaint also alleges that Alpha Media Group Inc. has been seeking to terminate the licensing agreement with EMI Resorts since June 19, 2008, and that continued use of the Maxim name by EMI Resorts is without consent.
