Alpha Analytics Value Fund Ranked in Top 2 Percent of Large Cap Value Funds for First Quarter 2001; Number One Since Inception.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 2001

Alpha Analytics Value Fund (AVFAX) was ranked 13 out of 772 Large Value mutual funds tracked by Morningstar for the quarter ending March 31, 2001, placing it in the top 2% of Large Cap Value mutual funds tracked by Morningstar, according to John Gipson, Vice-President of Los Angeles based Alpha Analytics. First quarter returns were 2.56%, compared to -5.63% for the average Large Cap Value fund.

"The first quarter of 2001 was challenging for all types of investment disciplines," says Brian Barish, fund portfolio manager and president of Cambiar Investors, Inc. "However, by focusing on quality franchises with restrained financial expectations, we were able to weather the storm."

The return for the 12 month period ending March 31, 2001, was 3.16%, placing it in the top 40% of Large Cap Value funds as ranked by Morningstar. Since inception on December 31, 1998, the Alpha Analytics Value Fund has returned 59.14%. This makes it the top performing Large Cap Value fund tracked by Morningstar over this period.
