Alltel Wireless to offer slender Nokia 2865i handset.


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Alltel Wireless (NYSE: AT), America's largest network and Nokia (NYSE: NOK), the world's leading manufacturer of wireless phones, today announced that the slender, affordable Nokia 2865i handset is now available at Alltel retail stores.

"The Nokia 2865i handset combines a slim design and affordable price with the ability to download games and ringtones and surf the mobile Web," said Wade McGill, senior vice president of product management for Alltel Wireless.

In addition to being Axcess Web capable, the Nokia 2865i handset features hands-free Bluetooth[R] wireless technology, a speakerphone and voice-activated dialing, and BREW[R] Client 3.1.2.

The Nokia 2865i handset is available from Alltel for $9.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate. This discounted price is available to new customers on two-year service agreements as well as to existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans.
