Alltel Wireless Introduces One of the Thinnest Phones in the U.S. - The Wafer(TM).


New Ultra-Thin Phone from Samsung Exclusively Available at Alltel

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Alltel Wireless, America's largest network, today announced The Wafer(TM), one of the thinnest, sleekest phones available on the U.S. market today, is now available exclusively at shopalltel.com and Alltel Wireless retail locations.

The Wafer (SCH-r510) by Samsung, offers customers the cool features they have come to expect out of their wireless phones in a quarter-inch form that can slip easily into a pocket, purse or the palm of your hand.

The Wafer, weighing only 2.7 oz., features XM Radio Mobile, Axcess TV and Axcess Mobile Guide. The Wafer is preloaded with Axcess Search, which allows customers to search for ringtones, wallpaper or other information on their phones by simply holding down the pound key. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, an MP3 player A digital music player that supports the MP3 format, which was the audio format that started a revolution in online music downloads and distribution. All portable music players, the iPod being the most popular, support MP3 along with one or more other audio formats. , an expandable memory slot, Stereo Bluetooth Headset capability and Alltel's award-winning Celltop technology.

This discounted price is available when new customers sign-up for a two-year service agreement as well as existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans. Customers who purchase The Wafer and are on a qualifying calling plan are able to join "My Circle," Alltel's exclusive feature that allows customers to choose who they call for free - any 10 numbers, any network.

Alltel Wireless also offers Anytime Plan Changes, giving customers the flexibility to change their rate plan any time, without extending their contract.
