 design, Allsteel Inc. has been establishing several resource centers around the country. Its latest location officially opened here last month, with a celebration hosted by the company's president, Stan Askren, and attended by more than 400 guests.

Occupying more than 10,000 SF of the entire second floor at 233 Park Ave. South, this new Alisteel setting, designed by The Phillips Group, reflects a commitment the company has made to the a+d community and to its network of dealers. The concept of the Allsteel resource center is to be an extension of the specifiers' and dealers' businesses.

"Our approach has been to create an environment that welcomes all of our groups of customers into the resource center and then encourages them to work with their clients here," explained Timothy S. Smith, vice president of marketing services.

The new space is nearly double the company's previous location at the Architects+Designers building in Midtown mid·town
