Allstate Invests in Chicago's Children.

Creates New Partnership with Chicago Children's Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry 

NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- Allstate Insurance Company [NYSE:ALL] today announced a new initiative to enhance educational programming and resources for Chicago's children. Expanding on its historic legacy of community partnerships, to commemorate its 75th anniversary, Allstate launched a new partnership with Chicago Children's Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry. Both museums share a common goal to develop the minds of children through science education and exploration.

With Allstate providing funding and volunteer leadership support, Chicago Children's Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry have committed to provide coordinated science programs and resources for children from pre-school through 12th grade. Allstate and museum leadership are exploring opportunities to share expertise, resources, programming and staff. Together, both museums partner with more than 1000 schools and community organizations representing the diversity of our city.

At a press conference with Mayor Richard M. Daley and museum leadership, Allstate Chairman and CEO, Ed Liddy also announced a contribution of $15 million to Chicago Children's Museum and $10 million to the Museum of Science and Industry to be paid over multiple years. This contribution is part of a long-term commitment to nurture educational opportunities for Chicago's youth by expanding their interest in science.

Specifically, these gifts will be used by each museum for;

More than 1000 schools and diverse community organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, will likely benefit from shared resources of this new partnership.
