Allstate Insurance signs deal with NBC sports. (Companies).


Continuing its trend toward more high-profile media buys, Allstate Insurance Co. has signed on to sponsor sports news updates during NBC's weekend sports coverage, the company said.

The "Allstate NBC Sports Update" made its debut June 28 during the network's coverage of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Future updates, which could total as many as 140 over the coming 15 months, will be aired during NBC's broadcasts of University of Notre Dame college
