Allstate Field Goal Program Breaks $200,000 Barrier; ''Good Hands(R)'' nets have raised more than $200,000 for Hurricane Relief Fund, $80,000 towards university general scholarship funds.

NORTHBROOK, Ill. -- Allstate's "Good Hands(R)" field goal nets have caught their fair share of game-winning kicks this season. Not only have the teams on the field won, but those off the field as well, as Allstate has donated do·nate

more than $200,000 to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  Hurricane Relief Fund and more than $80,000 to the general scholarship funds of the 40-plus Allstate partner schools. These numbers will continue to increase as more field goals and extra points are put on the board during the rest of the 2005 college football season.

The first five weekends of the 2005 season yielded a total of 168 field goals and 536 extra points for Allstate participating schools. The money raised is a result of Allstate's donation to hurricane relief of $1,000 for each home and away field goal. Allstate also will make donations to the participating school's general scholarship fund for each field goal ($300 per) and extra point ($100 per) that travels through Allstate-branded nets during home games. The Allstate field goal net program will continue throughout the regular season with no cap funds raised.

"It's exciting to watch the number of converted field goals and extra points grow with each passing weekend," said Joseph Tripodi, Allstate's chief marketing officer. "Allstate is continuing to root for every kick to sail through the uprights, providing much-needed funds for hurricane relief and college academics."
