Allstate `Kicks In' Support for Hurricane Katrina Relief; Allstate `Good Hands' College Field Goal Net Program Makes Donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.


NORTHBROOK Northbrook, village (1990 pop. 32,308), Cook co., NE Ill., a suburb of Chicago; settled 1836. Allstate announced this week that its well-known "Good Hands" logo will be featured on the goalpost netting of more than 30 Division 1-A college football stadiums and seen by television viewers across the country.

Along with providing quality care to all customers in need, this program adds another commitment of support from Allstate for Hurricane Katrina relief. Allstate is matching all Allstate employee and Allstate agency donations to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund on a dollar for dollar basis. Additionally, The Allstate Foundation is establishing a $1 million Allstate Emergency Relief Fund to be administered by organizations in the impacted areas.

The Allstate "Good Hands" field goal net program will be launched in participating schools' stadiums this weekend as college football kicks off its 2005 season. At each participating university, Allstate will also make donations to the school's general scholarship fund for each field goal ($300 per) and extra point ($100 per) that travel through an Allstate branded net during their home games.
