INDIANAPOLIS -- Long-time Indianapolis business owner, Charles "Jug" Eckert, honored for keeping Brickyard in Good Hands

Continuing their efforts to recognize individuals who demonstrate a long-standing commitment to preserving the legacy of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Coordinates:

Indianapolis Motor Speedway, located in Speedway, Indiana (a separate town completely surrounded by Indianapolis) in the United States, is the second-oldest
, Allstate and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway have named this year's Allstate(R) 400 Bricklayer Award.

Charles "Jug" Eckert was announced as this year's winner of the Allstate(R) 400 Bricklayer Award for his commitment to excellence in the food-service industry. Over the years, Eckert has worked hard to enhance the experience of fans who attend events in and around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by serving up his top-notch cuisine.

Eckert was presented with the Allstate(R) 400 Bricklayer award trophy during yesterday's pre-race festivities fes·tiv·i·ty

Eckert, who started Jug's catering nearly 40 years ago, is an institution at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His commitment to serving great food has made him a pillar in the community and has provided many jobs for the people of Indiana. Jug's catering, which is located at 5106 E. 65th Street in Indianapolis, provides on-site catering to a variety of events including the Allstate(R) 400 at the Brickyard(R).

"Allstate created this award in 2005 to honor those individuals who, when it comes to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, have demonstrated all the qualities our company stands behind - hard-work, dedication and focus on excellence," said Alice Byrne, Allstate assistant field vice president, North Central Region. "Committed individuals such as Jug Eckert help to make the Allstate(R) 400 at the Brickyard(R) that much better."
