Allscripts Chief Marketing Officer Dan Michelson led a presentation on using the Electronic Health Record to participate in the federal government's "pay for performance" initiative to improve care outcomes.

Organized by Boston-based Medical Records Institute, the TEPR conference -- Towards the Electronic Patient Record -- showcases nearly 200 leading Electronic Health Record and related technology vendors and is widely considered to be one of the health IT industry's premier events.

"TEPR is a great show to highlight the substantial progress being made in Electronic Health Records. And, while it represents an opportunity to demonstrate our software, which performed well with a solid showing for our TouchWorks EHR during the documentation challenge and a first place finish for our Electronic Prescribing, the real stars of the show are our clients, who are using our software to transform healthcare," commented Allscripts Chief Executive Officer Glen Tullman. "By presenting at shows like TEPR, our clients make it clear that electronic healthcare not only makes a difference in patient care, but on the bottom-line as well. They are the leaders who will take healthcare in this country to the next level."
