Allscripts Issues 2004 Guidance; Company to Announce 2003 Fourth Quarter Results on February 19.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 2004

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq: MDRX), the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions for physicians, today issued guidance for 2004. The Company expects total revenue for 2004 to be in excess of $105 million. Gross margins are projected to continue to improve, averaging between 40 and 45% for the year. Allscripts anticipates an annual EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) A PostScript file format used to transfer a graphic image between applications and platforms. EPS files contain PostScript code as well as an optional preview image in TIFF, WMF, PICT or EPSI, the latter being an ASCII-only format.  between $0.07 and $0.09 per share. The Company also expects to end 2004 with no debt and with total cash and marketable securities Marketable Securities
