Today, Alloy Online (Nasdaq:ALOY) launched its new teen book imprint, AlloyBooks(TM), in major online and offline bookstores and at its Web site at www.alloy.com.

The 12 books in the initial AlloyBooks(TM) program are derived from user-generated content The production of content by the general public rather than by paid professionals and experts in the field. Mostly available on the Web via blogs and wikis, user-generated content refers to material such as the daily news, encyclopedias and other references, movie and product reviews as  submitted to the most popular channels on the Alloy Web site (www.alloy.com). Focusing on poetry, beauty, dreams and advice, select Alloy visitors' writing will be showcased alongside the likes of Shakespeare, e.e. cummings and popular musicians such as Missy Elliott and Jewel.
