Allison Rossett to Address Questionmark Users Conference in San Francisco; March, 2006 Gathering of Learning Professionals Will also Feature Elliott Masie.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Educational technology professor, author and consultant Dr. Allison Rossett will deliver a keynote address at the fourth annual Questionmark 2006 Users Conference, to be held at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco March 12-15. The conference will also feature a keynote by futurist and e-learning analyst Elliott Masie.

Rossett, long time Professor of Educational Technology at San Diego State University, is also a consultant in training and technology-based performance. She is a member of the ASTD International Board of Directors and the Training Magazine HRD Hall of Fame. Allison also serves on the Board for the eLearning Guild and Chief Learning Officer Magazine. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the Naval Education and Training Learning Strategies Consortium. Her latest book is The ASTD E-learning Handbook: Best Practices, Strategies and Case Studies for an Emerging Field. Rossett's students at SDSU are educators and performance professionals in diverse settings, such as K-12 schools, government, industry and higher education. She will explore how educational institutions, corporations and other organizations can get the most value from assessment and evaluation in her talk: "Are We Asking the Right Questions?"

Masie is the founder and president of The MASIE Center, a think tank focused on how organizations can support learning and knowledge within the workforce. He is the editor of Learning TRENDS by Elliott Masie, an Internet newsletter read by over 46,000 business executives worldwide, and a regular columnist in professional publications. He is the author of a dozen books, including the recently authored free digital books called 701 E-Learning Tips and My Most Memorable Teacher (or Trainer). Masie has developed models for accelerating the spread of knowledge, learning and collaboration throughout organizations and serves as an advisor to a wide range of government, education and non-profit groups. During the conference, he will lead an interactive discussion about "Beyond Testing: Extreme Assessments in Learning, Measurement and Organizational Development."

Educators, trainers and instructional designers will come together at the conference for three days of networking, technical training, discussions with product managers and sessions on best practices in online assessment.
