McKesson HBOC, Inc. (McKessonHBOC) (NYSE:MCK) today announced an agreement with Allina Health Systems in Minneapolis, Minn., to provide its Clinical Reference Systems (CRS) patient education information on Allina's consumer Web site, www.medformation.com. The Web site provides healthcare information, news and resources for Allina Hospitals & Clinics, which includes 11 hospitals and 48 clinics serving communities in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Under the contract, www.medformation.com will feature health information topics from the CRS Adult Health Advisor, Medication Advisor, Pediatric Advisor and Women's Health Advisor, which together feature more than 2,000 topics written and reviewed by healthcare professionals. Topics cover medical conditions, surgical procedures and parenting advice, as well as medication advisories for 5,000 drug products. The health information is written at a fourth- to eighth-grade reading level and includes more than 50 illustrations. Many topics are available in Spanish.
