Terms of the agreement were not announced.

As previously announced, AlliedSignal was also selected to supply its new AS907 turbofan engine for the Bombardier Continental Jet. "AlliedSignal's role as a systems integrator continues to grow with our selection as the master designer for the APU system that includes the APU, its muffler, the APU installation kit and the tailcone itself," said Barry Gillespie, Director, Business Aviation and Regional Programs, AlliedSignal Engines.

"There are more than 4,000 36 series APUs in service around the world that have accumulated more than nine million hours of operation on business, regional and military aircraft, because we have invested in proven technologies that give our customers dependable service and low cost of ownership," said Gillespie.

Rated at 180 shaft horsepower, the 36-150(BD) will start to 30,000 feet and operate to 37,000 feet. The APU will generate 59 pounds of compressed air per minute at 49 pounds per square inch Noun 1. pounds per square inch - a unit of pressure
