 launch vehicle. In its role designing, developing and integrating the vehicle's subsystems, AlliedSignal Aerospace is one of the largest contributors to the Lockheed Martin team.

AlliedSignal will integrate the vehicle management systems and provide avionics avionics (ā'vēŏn`ĭks), electronic instruments used in air or space flight; also the design and production of such instruments. Early planes had few instruments, but as aviation and aircraft became more complex, so did instrumentation. , electrical systems, environmental controls and the landing system.

Three businesses from AlliedSignal Aerospace will work on the project:

-- Aerospace Electronic Systems in Teterboro, N.J., will lead the team and provide program management and systems engineering. It will also integrate a variety of equipment as part of the vehicle management system, and provide telemetry telemetry
