AlliedSignal Acquires Clean Link, Inc., Expanding Semiconductor Fabrication Products And Services.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1998--AlliedSignal Electronic Materials, a strategic business unit of AlliedSignal Inc. (NYSE:ALD), announced today that it has acquired Clean Link, Inc., a company that designs, manufactures and sells mini-environments for wafer and substrate handling to the semiconductor industry.

The acquisition expands AlliedSignal Electronic Materials' (ASEM) current portfolio of semiconductor fabrication products and services, and enables ASEM to provide a wider range of complementary and integrated solutions to the semiconductor industry. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

Clean Link, Inc., a privately held company with engineering and production facilities in San Jose, Calif., will become part of ASEM's Wafer Fabrication Group (WFG), joining AlliedSignal's Advanced Microelectronic Materials and Electron Vision businesses. The Wafer Fabrication Group's focus is to provide material, equipment and service solutions to the global semiconductor industry. Clean Link has built a solid reputation for delivering state-of-the-art mini-environment services to semiconductor manufacturers and equipment suppliers.
