Allied-SpectaGuard, the nation's largest privately held contract security services firm, has appointed two management personnel to newly created positions dedicated solely to serving shopping mall giant General Growth Properties after being awarded a $21 million contract. Allied-SpectaGuard has named Robert C. Wood, CPP, CFE, as Regional Vice President for General Growth Properties and Thomas R. Braswell as Vice President for General Growth Properties.

In June, Allied-SpectaGuard was awarded an expanded, long-term $21 million contract with General Growth, the nation's second-largest owner, developer and manager of shopping centers. Wood, along with Braswell, will lead a team of executives and support personnel singularly dedicated to serving this account, managing a network of more than 60 Allied-SpectaGuard branch offices to provide security services at 47 General Growth shopping malls across the country.

Wood, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), is an 18-year veteran of Allied-SpectaGuard. He previously served as Regional Vice President for the New England area, where he was responsible for client relations, operations and administrative functions for Allied-SpectaGuard's numerous accounts in the region.

Prior to being named Vice President, Braswell served as Assistant Vice President, overseeing operations functions for General Growth and several other Allied-SpectaGuard clients. Braswell, a member of the ICSC, has been with Allied-SpectaGuard for 13 years.
