Allied Telesyn iMAP 9100 Added to RUS Approved Products List; Rural Service Providers Given Green Light to Deploy Allied Telesyn's Innovative Modular 1RU iMAP 9100 System.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Allied Telesyn, a global provider of secure Ethernet/IP access solutions, this week announced that the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) has placed the iMAP 9100 integrated multiservice access platform on its "List of Materials Acceptable for Use on Telecommunications Systems of RUS Borrowers," which paves the way for RUS-funded rural service providers to deploy iMAP 9100s in their RUS-funded networks. The iMAP 9100 joins the already approved IP carrier-grade iMAP 9400/9700 chassis-based systems and complementary 7100 series IP DSLAMs.

The RUS is a service of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that promotes the improvement and expansion of telecommunications service in rural America, mainly through targeted lending programs. In addition to long-term financing, RUS provides technical advice for the purchase of approved, tested and certified telecommunications equipment for rural areas.
