Starting at as little as $349, Allied Telesyn's new LAN extenders come in 12 variations for configuration flexibility, and four point-to-point starter kits that combine both provider and subscriber side units in one box.

They provide a great solution for corporate to remote branch connection via T1 or ISDN; for front-ending an Allied Telesyn Rapier 24 or other Layer 3 switch's Ethernet ports across a T1 or DS3 circuit; or for remote connectivity to buildings connected by a single pair of copper wires.

All of the members of the new extender family are IPacket Technology(TM) compliant(a) and thereby optimized for IP services.

Available now, the extenders carry U.S. list prices from $349 to $8,995; the subscriber/provider kits are $695 to $2,995. The multi-port models are configured in standard or -48v DC power supply. They all carry Allied Telesyn's one-year warranty.
