Allied International announces changes in its management team.

Mario Rizzo has been promoted to the post of vice president of operations for the international group. In that position, he'll have responsibility for the management of all international civilian, military, and ADS (Allied Distribution Services) operations and pricing activities. A 25-year veteran of the moving industry, Rizzo has spent the past 18 years of his career with Allied Van Lines Allied Van Lines is a moving van company founded in 1928 as a cooperative non-profit organization owned by its member agents on the east coast of the United States, to help with organizing return loads and minimizing dead-heading.  and Allied International, during which time he has held a number of management positions of ever-increasing responsibility, the most recent being director of international sales and marketing.

Named as vice president and chief financial officer of Allied International is Dave Buth, also a long-time employee who joined Allied International in 1977. Last but not least, Jack Griffin, vice president of sales and marketing for Allied Canada, will be relocating to the U.S. to assume the role of vice president of sales and marketing for Allied International. Griffin will have responsibility for the overall management, direction, and development of Allied International's sales efforts and marketing programs, with particular focus on the national account segment of the market. Prior to joining Allied Canada in July 1994, Griffin held similar sales and marketing management positions with Steelcase (eight years) and Xerox (five years).
