Allianz Life Dedicates New North American Headquarters; Welcomes Global Chairman.

Ceremony will include a donation of one-half million dollars

to disaster relief fund as unveiling of massive mosaic

featuring images of its more than 1,600 employees

Allianz (all-ee-ahnz) Life Insurance Company of North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  (Allianz Life), a leading wealth management company, dedicated its new headquarters today with an impressive celebration of music and speeches from key dignitaries including Dr. Henning Schulte-Noelle, chairman of the Board of Management of Allianz AG, who traveled from Germany to attend the event. The celebration included the presentation of one-half million dollars to the disaster relief fund and culminated with the unfurling of a 105-foot square banner consisting of images of its more than 1,600 employees.

-- Charitable donation - Allianz Life presented a $50,000 check to the city of
Golden Valley for the purchase and installation of new playground equipment and
surfacing at Scheid Park, located near Duluth Street and Toledo Avenue North in
Golden Valley. Installation of the equipment will begin in October.

-- Time capsule - A time capsule was dedicated and will be sealed in a wall on
the first floor of the new building by McGough Construction. The capsule
includes several items including:

-- Inscription book of employee signatures and messages

-- Map of the Twin Cities metro area depicting the locations of employee zip
codes that was used to determine the new building location

-- Allianz Life Centennial Book, 1896 - 1996

-- Video of the making of LifeUSA

-- Time capsule contents found during the move of the 12.5-ton Billy Bison
statue from 1750 Hennepin Avenue to 5701 Golden Hills Drive in June including a
1948 note from the sculptor along with bottle pieces and newspaper in which it
was wrapped

-- Blueprints of 1750 Hennepin Avenue location

-- Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper with headline of "Terrorized - Hijacked
Jets Hit World Trade Center, Pentagon" (9/12/2001).

-- Financial Services Luncheon - Also as part of the festivities, Allianz Life
hosted a luncheon for local leaders in the financial services market that
included representatives from the insurance industry and financial
institutions, as well as local dignitaries.
