Alliant Technologies, a premier Web and Information Technology integration firm based in Morristown, New Jersey, is sponsoring Get Launched NYC, a seminar and symposium program designed to introduce initially funded start-up companies to venture capitalists and leading providers of technology products and services. Get Launched NYC is open to New York City-based, for-profit technology companies. Selected qualifying companies will attend a venture capital presentation breakfast on November 2, 2000, and semi-finalists will participate in a seminar on November 9. Eligibility for the Get Launched NYC program is open to for-profit, Internet and technology start-up companies with less than 500 employees, located in, or willing to relocate their headquarters to New York. At Get Launched events young companies will meet sponsor representatives, talk with potential financiers and network with peers from start-up companies. The top three firms, selected by venture capitalists from approximately 110 submissions, for the June, 2000, Alliant Technologies Get Launched event in New Jersey were BookingZone.com, Idclik.com and Netilla Networks, Inc. These companies linked with funding opportunities and technology industry resources as a result of Get Launched introductions.

Netilla Networks, Inc., based in Somerset, New Jersey, is the supplier of Web virtual private networks (VPNs) for small- and medium-sized businesses that was selected as the Grand Prize Award winner of the New Jersey event. The company is discussing funding terms with two of the venture capital participants, as well as exploring partnerships with some of the sponsors who can help Netilla Networks with channel development.
