Alliance makes headlines at Daily News building.First Quality Maintenance, a division of Alliance Building Services, recently received a contract to provide exclusive maintenance services at the Daily News Building at 220 E. 42nd St. The 37-story, 1,096,067 s/f building features a private road private road n. a road or driveway on privately-owned property, limited to the use of the owner or a group of owners who share the use and maintain the road without help from a government agency. A private road has not been given to a government entity (like a county or city) and accepted by that entity for public use. and 24-hour, on-site security and management services. Notable tenants include the United Nations, Pfizer, Neuberger Berman Inc. and the Omnicom Group. Classic Security, Onyx Restoration Work and Bright Star Couriers, all divisions of Alliance Building Services, have had contracts with the building for three years. "Alliance has had a great relationship with the Daily News Building for the past three years," said Gary Green, CEO of Alliance Building Services. "It's great to see the management company has recognized our employees' commitment and offered our maintenance division a contract as well."
