Agate said that he is particularly pleased with the addition of 2 Penn Center to Alliance's existing portfolio of Class B and suburban properties in that it "validates the fact that our approach to real estate management is in tune with the demands of the owners of larger, Class A properties."

The complex at 2 Penn Center is a Class A property located adjacent to City Hall in the Market Street corridor of the Center City Philadelphia office market. The property consists of just over 500,000 square feet of office and retail space. The office component has more than 60 tenants.

The large retail component at both street and concourse levels are adjacent to SEPTA's MetroMarket and transit system. The property was built in 1957 and was substantially renovated in the late 1980s. CB Commercial Real Estate Group Inc. will continue to handle leasing.
