The Missouri contracts call for Alliance to provide MRI scanning services to Branson-based Skaggs Memorial Hospital and Lake of the Ozarks The Lake of the Ozarks is a large man-made reservoir created by impounding the Osage River in central Missouri in the northern part of the Ozarks. In addition, three smaller tributaries of the Osage which were also impounded include the Niangua River, the Grandglaize Creek, and Hospital in Osage Beach. Services are slated to begin later this month. Zehner commented, "We're pleased to have been selected as a new provider by Skaggs Memorial Hospital to initiate and develop MRI services for the fast-growing Branson community. "Our strong working relationship with Lake of the Ozarks Hospital is now in its fifth year," he added. Alliance Imaging Inc. provides its nationwide services both on a mobile, shared user basis and a full-time basis at single hospital sites. The company currently operates 74 MRI and 10 CT units.
