Alliance Imaging Announces Acquisitions in Northwest Indiana.

Alliance Imaging Inc. (NYSE:AIQ), a leading national provider of outsourced diagnostic imaging services, today announced that it has acquired three free-standing imaging centers and three mobile, shared-service systems in the Northwest Indiana market from various entities affiliated with Radiologic Associates of Northwest Indiana Inc., effective July 1, 2002.

These acquisitions of free-standing imaging centers include a multi-modality center, an Open MRI center, and a PET center. The mobile, shared-service systems include two SPECT systems and a bone densitometry system.

Combined, these acquisitions are expected to annually contribute approximately $8 million in revenues and approximately $3 million in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization).

Richard N. Zehner, chairman and chief executive officer, stated, "We are very pleased to announce the acquisitions of high-quality providers of diagnostic imaging services in Northwest Indiana which increases our presence in the free-standing diagnostic imaging market."
