Alliance Imaging Announces Accreditation By Joint Commission On Accreditation Of Healthcare Organizations.


ANAHEIM, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1998--Alliance Imaging, Inc., the nation's largest provider of hospital-based Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), noninvasive diagnostic technique that uses nuclear magnetic resonance to produce cross-sectional images of organs and other internal body structures.  (MRI 1. The voluntary accreditation process takes six months to complete and involves on-site inspections, interviews and documentation review to measure the quality of medical service.

JCAHO accreditation is valid for three years, after which the inspection process starts again. Alliance's Pacific Region includes Southern California, Arizona and southern Nevada. All other regions are scheduled to apply for JCAHO accreditation during 1998.

Alliance Imaging, Inc., an affiliate of Apollo Management, L.P., provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging and other outsourced services to hospitals and other healthcare organizations. Services are provided on a mobile, shared-user basis or on a full-time single-user basis.
