A Proven technology ------------------- Alliance will treat its effluents with a proven technology commonly called activated mud process. This biological treatment process is based on the transformation by micro-organisms of toxic substances into harmless bio-degradable elements. This technology comes with the following advantages: high treatment efficiency, stable and reliable operation, as well as less production of mud when compared with other alternatives. The mill is currently looking at the possibility to use resulting muds into the clarifier in order to generate steam and therefore avoid land filling.
