ALLIANCE ATLANTIS COMMUNICATIONS INC., together with Mel Gibson's Icon Productions, team up in a whole new reality of action for television, for pre-sales at MIPCOM.

Invincible (working title) is a new one-hour action series created by martial arts box office sensation Jet Li, and Academy Award winning director, producer, and box office megastar Mel Gibson. When they starred together in Lethal Weapon 4, Jet Li and Mel Gibson talked about how much more exciting an action series would be if they were producing one. Now they are, together with ALLIANCE ATLANTIS. Set in the diverse metropolis of San Francisco, Invincible (working title) will pulsate with a unique sense of visual style, production design, music and spectacularly choreographed martial arts action sequences.

The series will begin with five members being inducted into the Choi Shang. Only those who possess extraordinary talent in the martial art of Wushu are asked to join this ancient secret society. Once in the Choi Shang, members are charged with combating the deadly treacherous Su-Tao to preserve the balance of good in the world. Our characters will take us on wild action adventures, exploding through every part of San Francisco. The adrenaline-pumping series will be captured in the distinctive Hong Kong style of film making, synchronizing the camera with the action. Jet Li's expertise with stunts will set the stage for the fantastic, death defying action sequences. Li's involvement will ensure the authenticity of the martial arts experience as never before brought to television. This unique Hong Kong approach is going to bring a whole new reality of action to television.
