) announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors: Michael R. Gallagher Michael R. Gallagher was the CEO and Director of Playtex Products, Inc., from July 1995 until his retirement in December 2004.

Prior to that, Gallagher was CEO of North America for Reckitt & Colman PLC, a consumer products company based in London.
, Karen R. Osar, and Ronald M. Cresswell, Ph.D., effective today. These appointments increase the number of Allergan's directors to twelve.

Commenting on the appointments, Herbert W. Boyer, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board stated, "The addition of these three proven business leaders further strengthens our board and extends its breadth of experience in scientific research, consumer product marketing and international finance. Each of these individuals brings a different set of competencies to the board which complement those of our existing members.
