) today announced that Russell T. Ray was appointed to the Company's Board of Directors effective April 1, 2003.

Mr. Ray is a Managing Director of Chesapeake Strategic Advisors, a firm specializing in providing advisory services advisory services

During his investment banking career, Mr. Ray successfully completed over 175 transactions for leading health care companies worldwide.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse First Boston, Mr. Ray spent twelve years at Deutsche Bank and its predecessor entities; BT Alex. Brown and Alex. Brown; as Global Head of Health Care Investment Banking. He began his career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in 1982 as a member of the firm's High Tech and Emerging Growth Group.

Mr. Ray received his B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, a B.A. in Zoology zoology, branch of biology concerned with the study of animal life. From earliest times animals have been vitally important to man; cave art demonstrates the practical and mystical significance animals held for prehistoric man.  and Ecology from the University of Washington, an M.S. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania (body, education) University of Pennsylvania - The home of ENIAC and Machiavelli.
