The Orange County Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI OC) and the University of California, Irvine Extension presented its annual CFO of the year award to Jeffrey L. Edwards, Executive Vice President, Finance and Business Development, and Chief Financial Officer of Allergan, Inc. (NYSE:AGN). Mr. Edwards received his award at NIRI OC's fourth annual CFO of the Year gala dinner at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort in Newport Beach on December 5, 2006.

Mr. Edwards follows previous Orange County business figures Jon Kline of Sunstone Hotel Investors (NYSE:SHO), Patti M. Dodge of New Century Financial Corporation (NYSE:NEW) and the late Thomas A. Klemens of First American Corporation (NYSE:FAF), in whose honor the Recognition of Achievement Award was renamed the Thomas A. Klemens Achievement Award this year.
