This award recognizes outstanding creativity in the design and development of e-learning applications.

The award was given for the Frontline Loss Prevention course created by Allen Interactions and Union Bank of California. This E-Learning course trains retail banking staff to identify and prevent fraudulent activity by placing them in simulations of real world tasks they perform each day, such as check negotiability, authentication (1) Verifying the integrity of a transmitted message. , entitlement, privacy of information and office controls.

The course allows learners to practice the techniques and procedures they must perform in the context of their job. This approach gives the retail banking staff a clear sense of the relevancy of the training and it makes the transfer of the training to on-the-job performance easier. In fact, Union Bank has noted a decline in losses since the program's inception.

Judges evaluated entries in instructional design Instructional design is the practice of arranging media (communication technology) and content to help learners and teachers transfer knowledge most effectively. The process consists broadly of determining the current state of learner understanding, defining the end goal of , online learning and the implementation of e-learning.
