) announced today that it has sold Geotech Instruments, a business unit of Teledyne Brown Engineering Teledyne Brown Engineering, or TBE, formerly Brown Engineering, is a Huntsville, AL–based subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY). TBE was acquired by Teledyne Technologies in 1966.  engaged in the manufacture and sale of seismic monitoring systems and related equipment.

The purchaser is Geotech Instruments, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

, a Texas limited liability company formed by former employees of the business unit.

Terms of the asset sale were not disclosed. The financial impact of the sale will not be material to Allegheny Teledyne.
